Welcome to my blog! My name is Alex Hoopes and I’ve been a tech enthusiast for as long as I can remember.
I love tinkering with computers, and electronics, and doing things to them the average person doesn’t get to. I love understanding the inner-workings of electronics and how all these tiny components make such powerful devices. I love creating new things to solve problems including programs and in the future, hardware components.
I work full-time as a contracted computer engineering technician at Intel and have been doing so for over 3 years now. During this time I’ve taught myself Python to create a program to automate a lot of registration processes, switched majors to Computer Science from IT and learned a lot about servers, Linux, and monitoring many systems at once to ensure stability.
In my free time I like to tinker with electronics. I’ve always had an interest in how electronics work and have always been fascinated with fixing them and understanding how certain aspects of them work.
Through this blog I will take you with me on my electronics adventures through whatever I create, fix, and am currently working on. This will include software and hardware, homelab setups, etc. I love sharing knowledge and appreciate anyone giving this blog a read!
Have a great day, and thanks for checking this out 😄
